Design23Print software has the capability to control the 3D printer components, including the DLP® board and the motor for affecting vertical motion of the building platform, either directly or through an existing control software package.  Design23DPrint is designed such that it can interface with and control any 3D printer that uses DLP® technology for writing layers of a 3D object, regardless of differences in installed operating software, choice of DLP® and/or DMD, and the hardware implementation of the construction process. In what follows, the software components and their operation are described in detail, and the capabilities of the software are demonstrated through collaboration with Texas Instruments and their 3D DLP® printer system.
